Congratulations to John Tedeschi In becoming the NEW 2025 WBC King of the Court – Bocce Singles Champion!

Johnny defeated a very powerful Vic DelPonte in the finals to claim the coveted title. Vic defeated some strong opponents along the way, to meet perennial powerhouse Johnny Bocce in the finals. Great performance by both individuals.

Shoutout to all the participants in this year’s KoC!

The following is a summary by one of our very own players, who wishes to remain anonymous. He wanted to pass along his version of what was displayed that eventful Thursday evening.

“And in the end, it was Johnny Bocce who hoisted the much coveted Westerly Bocce Club Singles Championship trophy!

Despite quite a few notable Round 1 and Round 2 knockout surprises, for those who attended as competitors and spectators alike witnessed an outstanding display of bocce action last night. It was a demonstration of strategic brute force and skillful finesse that saw Vic D. rip through his competitors in the quarter and semi finals, while John T. delivered yet another clinical performance against those he faced.

A high five to everyone who participated in the tournament this year. Well done to all who advanced through the ranks. Fantastic job, Vic, for your amazing run-up to and effort in the Finals play and a hearty ‘Congratulations!’ to our 2025 Champion, John T!”
